[ The feed comes on to show the smiling face of Sakura. She's sitting in the Violet pokemon center, looking quite pleased with herself. Behind her, the sun is just barely rising over the treetops. ]

I caught my first Pokemon today! Kero-chan and I were out training and we ran into a Ledyba. Kero-chan did really good in his battle. They're both being healed now.

[ She pauses. ] I'm still looking for a Ponyta egg, too. I haven't seen anything about some over the network, though.... I might have to just catch one. Or maybe I could get a Growlithe egg. I heard that they're good Pokemon.

[ She stops the feed to continue this debate while she waits for her Pokemon to be healed. ]

A Sentret. He's a Furret now, though.

Normal. They're actually pretty common, I think? And kinda look like raccoons.

Yeah, probably. But when they evolve into Furrets, they get really big.

Bigger than me. [She takes the Furret's Pokéball and releases the big ol' furry thing.]



[The Furret is nearly six feet tall, dwarfing Clover, who is just under five.]

Oh! [ wiiiiiiiiide eyes. ] Do most Pokemon get that big?

Nope, it depends on their species. Some get really huge, but others only grow a little bit.

Do you think my Teddiursa will get that big when he evolves?

Mm, I don't think so. I don't think he's strong enough yet.

I'm traveling with somebody now. When she beats the gym leader here, we'll go on to Azalea. Maybe I'll see you when we get to Goldenrod!

I'm not working on gym badges right now. I just want to raise and train my Pokemon the best I can. Then maybe I'll go back and get my badges.
