5th Card ☼ [video/action for Violet]

[ The feed comes on, a tad bit shaky, but Sakura's nowhere to be found. The 'Gear is trained on an egg. Or what is left of an egg. Beside the broken egg is a baby Growlithe, stretching and blinking it's eyes. ]

Where's Sakura-chan at? [ A Ledyba flies overhead, looking quite anxious. She drops a small blanket over the Growlithe, and the baby Pokemon makes a noise of protest. ] She's going to be upset that she missed this.

Um, she might be at work.... [ This voice is from behind the 'Gear. ] But we can take care of this little guy until she gets back...

[ The Ledyba lands right in front of the 'Gear, causing it to shake. ] Quick! Does anybody know what to do for a freshly hatched Pokemon?

[ The voice from behind the 'Gear: ] We're not really sure what to do...

[ OOC: Sakura is indeed at work, and this post was made by her Ledyba and Teddiursa. All replies will be from those two, but mostly the Ledyba. ]

[Luckily, Diana has hatched several eggs before. In fact she's got a large speckled one between her paws right now.]

Are you keeping the baby warm and dry? They'll be hungry.

Yep. But like... what do baby Growlithes even eat?

Pretty much the same as we do. Don't worry so much about it.

I guess I'll get used to this whole baby thing. Especially if Sakura gets more eggs.

Knock it around so it knows who's boss.

Uh... that doesn't sound like a good-

[ The Teddiursa is interrupted by an appalled looking Ledyba. ] What? Are you insane. That is the worst advice I have ever heard!

Only if you're a wimp. Fact is, they need to know their place.

[He snaps his jaws a few times and roars!]

'specially if your trainer starts playing favorites with the baby.

You're insane. You're absolutely insane. I feel really sorry for any other Pokemon that have to put up with you.

[Quake just cackles and roars some more-- at least until some ice shards hit him, and he drops the 'Gear.

A Weavile is the next to respond.]

Tsk. Do pardon my... 'colleague's' brutish behavior. He makes a habit of crushing the hopes and dreams of young Pokémon. Pitiful, really.

Oh, good, somebody who doesn't have rocks for brains. [ She looks somewhat relieved. ]

Don't worry! Baby Pokemon are really very easy to take care of. You just need to feed them if they are hungry and keep them out of trouble until your trainer comes back.

Oh, that sounds easy enough. Such a relief.

Yea! It isn't so hard.

Hello. My name is Carrera. IF I can do anything else to help just ask ok? I know it can be a surprise when baby Pokemon hatch. I really didn't know what to do with the first one I found either.

I'm Tomo! Thanks for your help. Let me know if I can ever return the favor.

[Pikachu and Eevee are on the screen, though you may see an Arcanine behind them. The electric mouse and the evolution pokemon both happen to be pokemons who hatched from eggs in front of their trainer, so maybe they know something about this stuff?]

You should keep it warm and give it something to eat!

And keep it out of trouble by playing with it. ...Or just don't let it get away from your sight. [But why wouldn't you play with your new friend?]

Keeping it warm, check! It's the feeding it part we're having trouble with.

It seems to be entertaining itself just fine... [ The 'Gear spins to show the Growlithe, who appears to be stumbling around the room and dragging the blanket in its mouth. ]

[identity profile] waiwaiku.livejournal.com 2011-10-26 08:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmmm. So your trainer didn't leave any food for you all?

Better still keep an eye or two on it, puppies are fast!

video:

[identity profile] nota-kaijuu.livejournal.com 2011-10-27 09:11 pm (UTC)(link)
She did, but... do Growlithes eat the same thing as we do?

Ah... [ There's a loud crash from off screen and a playful bark. ] They really are fast.

video:

[identity profile] waiwaiku.livejournal.com 2011-10-27 11:36 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't know! But let's ask from our friendly Arcanine here...

[Pikachu and Eevee look at each other. Yeah, they're both probably thinking about the same thing. Let's not ask Tigger about it, these are Kintarou's pokemon... Yes, it matters because Kintarou is a great trainer, but he may just feed them whatever...]

L-Let's look at him instead! He's been eating the same things as we do and he's always been healthy, so it should be alright to feed the puppy whatever you have there.

Yes they are! ...What was that crash?!

Oh, that's a relief. Thank you sooo much for your help. I totally owe you one.

Um... it was Sakura-chan's bag.... [ The 'Gear is sat down and a Teddiursa comes out from behind it. He stops beside the baby Growlithe and the scattered contents of the pack. He starts straightening them up, carefully keeping his back to the 'Gear. ]
