[ The feed opens to a Ledian flying just a bit off the ground. Below her are an excited looking Growlithe and Teddiursa. Then, at a dizzying speed, the 'Gear spins to show the equally excited face of Sakura. ]

Tomo evolved! Now she's a Ledian! We're going to celebrate by having a picnic across from the Pokemart. If anyone wants to, they can join us!

[ All three Pokemon gather around her. Growlithe crawls right into her lap, Kero-chan the Teddiursa is almost completely hidden behind her, and Tomo has landed to her right. ]

Also, I have a question. When do you think the best time is to evolve a Growlithe with a Fire Stone?

[ Across from the Pokemart, Sakura has laid a blanket down in the grass. She's sitting on it with her Growlithe, Teddiursa, and Ledian. There's plates of food (human and Pokemon) scattered about, obviously more than one girl and three Pokemon can eat.

Well, it depends... on if you want Arcanine to know ExtremeSpeed or Growlithe to know more moves, two of them are fire type moves! Or you might be able to get all of them somehow, but I haven't figured it out yet. [He just went and evolved his Growlithe early, then his Arcanine learned Extreme Speed.]

[Chu the Pikachu looks curious on Kintarou's shoulder. Does he know those Pokemons...?]

Oh! That's a hard choice.... Is Extreme Speed a good move?

He goes extremely fast outside battle if I use it and in battles it does some damage...? I guess it's better than Flare Blitz, since that would do damage to the user too.

But the other move, Heat Wave is very cool! Growlithe learns it... [Thinking!] ...Somewhere around level 45 and it comes before Flare Blitz, so you could also have it and evolve your Growlithe before it learns Flare Blitz if you don't want that move.

[Pikachu gets all excited and waves like crazy to the two.]

Oh! Extreme Speed and Heat Wave both sound very good! I'll just wait until Growlithe learns those two moves, and then I'll evolve him. Thank you for your help! [ She grins. ] I'm Kinomoto Sakura, by the way.

WHOAH! WAIT!! [Confusion to the max here!] ...Growlithe can't learn Arcanine's Special thing - Extreme Speed. So if you want Extreme Speed, you have to evolve it, then Arcanine can learn it. And Arcanine can't learn Heat Wave, so if you want the Wave, you probably won't get the Speed.

Kero-chan is named after a friend of mine from home, too! 'Cept they don't act much alike. They're really different.

It seems to be normal here to name their first Pokemon after someone from home.

Well, the real Kero-chan really likes eating. And he's really smart, and he doesn't like being left behind when I go somewhere. He kind of complains a lot, too. But my Teddirusa Kero-chan is really shy and sweet and he falls down a lot. But I love them both!

Arah~! Your Pokemon evolved? Congratulations to you both! It is certainly a wonderful feeling when they evolve, isn't it? I was quite glad for Sen-san and Spina-san, myself!

Thank you, it is! She's so big now. She's almost as tall as I am!

Nn... well, they learn some really powerful fire moves! But they stop learning things after level 48. But like... aren't there things that can teach Pokemon moves without having to level them up?

TMs. Yeah. If you could get those, no need to wait, right?

Yeah, those! Exactly! But are there TMs for all the moves a Pokemon can learn? Or only some of them?

Only some. Is there a way to find out which move it is learns later on?

Um... maybe by looking the Pokemon up on the 'Gear. But I bet I could just ask around. A lot of people have Growlithes!
