8th Card [Video/Action for Otherhouse]

[ The feed turns on to... darkness? All that's visible is, occasionally, the blur of something orange or brown. When she speaks, Sakura's voice is slightly muffled, but still audible. ]

Do you- [ She breaks off. There's a low whining sound, like that of a dog, from somewhere close by. ] Do you guys have somebody that you love more than anybody else? Like, a person you love the most? Who's your number one person?

[ The feed movies, and Sakura's voice becomes a little bit more muffled. ]

And, if you do, are they here with you? Or are they at home? Do you miss them? [ She goes quiet for several long moments. Then, without warning, the feed goes off.

To those at the Otherhouse who would like to find Sakura, she's out near the garden, sitting hidden and squished between a very large Ursaring and a very large Arcanine. ]

I'm sorry. [ A soft sniffle and another low whining noise. ] If you could, would you bring them here?

_{[Jack's sad face fades for a moment. That is...a very good question.]}

I'm not sure...I wouldn't want them to miss home as much as I do. But she might like this place...it is very interesting here. But it's not Halloween Town.

_{[Hi Jack's been having anxiety dreams about people disappearing.]}

The way I hear people talk about how this whole thing works, she probably doesn't even know I'm gone.

[ There's a moment of shifting and muffled noises before Sakura's face finally becomes visible. She looks sad, but she also looks somewhat curious. ]

Halloween Town? Is that where you're from? [ A pause. ] You think there's another me at home talking to Syaoran-kun and Tomoyo-chan?

_{[ A-aw this poor girl...Jack tries to put on a happy face for her.]}

That's right. _{[Her question makes him tilt his head.]} I'm not sure...I've spoken to someone who's left and come back...theory says time simply stops but nobody knows for sure.

Does it make you feel better to think that?

Oh. [ That's an interesting thought. ]

Um... I don't know. [ She frowns. ] I mean, I guess if there's a me there, my friends and family won't be lonely. But I'm here. But I'm also... there. [ Now she's confused. ]

Try not to think about it too hard, you'll get a headache.

_{[He knows.]}

How long have you been here?

[ She gives up on trying to understand that and relaxes against the mass of orange beside her. ] Around four months. Which isn't very long. Some people have been here longer without their friends.

_{[Jack nods slowly. He hates to imagine anyone being lonely.]} I've been here for more than a year...I've made a lot of new friends though! What's your name? Mine's Jack.

[ A small smile. ] Making new friends does make it more enjoyable. My name's Sakura! It's nice to meet you, Jack.

And it's nice to meet you, Sakura.

_{[He makes a goofy sort of flourish, glad to see her smiling again.]}

[ And that draws out a few giggles. ] If you've been here for over a year, your Pokemon must be really strong.

They...they sure are.

_{[PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFT.]}

I can't wait for my Pokemon to get super strong. I want them to be strong like Miyuki-chan's. She has really strong Pokemon. Strong enough to have gym badges!

[ O-oh. ]

That is very strong!

_{[Jack dreads dealing with that crazy lady with the miltank. He just sort of...stopped training.]}

Maybe we can have a battle some day!

Really? That would be so much fun! I haven't battled another trainer before... just wild Pokemon.
