8th Card [Video/Action for Otherhouse]

[ The feed turns on to... darkness? All that's visible is, occasionally, the blur of something orange or brown. When she speaks, Sakura's voice is slightly muffled, but still audible. ]

Do you- [ She breaks off. There's a low whining sound, like that of a dog, from somewhere close by. ] Do you guys have somebody that you love more than anybody else? Like, a person you love the most? Who's your number one person?

[ The feed movies, and Sakura's voice becomes a little bit more muffled. ]

And, if you do, are they here with you? Or are they at home? Do you miss them? [ She goes quiet for several long moments. Then, without warning, the feed goes off.

To those at the Otherhouse who would like to find Sakura, she's out near the garden, sitting hidden and squished between a very large Ursaring and a very large Arcanine. ]

My wife was here, for some time. She left a few months ago, and I've missed her every day since then.

I have a special someone, and they're hopefully at home.

[She smiles sadly, taking a good guess.]

Are you missing someone, dear?

My special someone is at home. I miss them very much.

[ This time, Sakura's face is visible, although the lighting appears to be terrible in quality. It's still clear, though, that she's not wearing her usual bright smile. ]

Did you cherish the time she was here?

I'm sorry. [ A soft sniffle and another low whining noise. ] If you could, would you bring them here?

[ The lighting is better when she responds. Now it's clear that she's sitting between to masses of fur. Her voice is clearer, and his face is visible. ]

I am. [ She rests her head against the mass of orange beside her. The mass makes a whining noise. ] I'm missing a lot of people. I wish I could bring them all here with me.

_{[Jack's sad face fades for a moment. That is...a very good question.]}

I'm not sure...I wouldn't want them to miss home as much as I do. But she might like this place...it is very interesting here. But it's not Halloween Town.

_{[Hi Jack's been having anxiety dreams about people disappearing.]}

The way I hear people talk about how this whole thing works, she probably doesn't even know I'm gone.

[He always cherishes time spent with Rosa.]

We travelled together, raised our Pokémon together... We'd go out to eat and spend the whole evening talking.

[Ah, how she longs to hug the poor thing ;; ]

I know how you feel. But it'll be all right. You'll see them all again someday... you just have to be patient.

[ There's a moment of shifting and muffled noises before Sakura's face finally becomes visible. She looks sad, but she also looks somewhat curious. ]

Halloween Town? Is that where you're from? [ A pause. ] You think there's another me at home talking to Syaoran-kun and Tomoyo-chan?

If you could bring her back here, would you? Or would you rather go back home?

_{[ A-aw this poor girl...Jack tries to put on a happy face for her.]}

That's right. _{[Her question makes him tilt his head.]} I'm not sure...I've spoken to someone who's left and come back...theory says time simply stops but nobody knows for sure.

Does it make you feel better to think that?

My son is waiting for me there, as are all of my friends. Besides, I cannot abandon my responsibilities.

Being patient is hard. [ Another sniffle before she presses her face against the orange mass. ]

Yes, it isn't easy... But are you really ever alone? As long as they are in your thoughts and your heart, they are always with you.

Oh. [ That's an interesting thought. ]

Um... I don't know. [ She frowns. ] I mean, I guess if there's a me there, my friends and family won't be lonely. But I'm here. But I'm also... there. [ Now she's confused. ]

[ A thoughtful look. ] I guess I never thought of it that way. The responsibilities thing. I guess I'd go home, too. But... I'd miss my friends here. And my Pokemon. [ Now she rests her head against something furry and orange beside her. ]

oh. [ Not sure what half those things mean, but okay! She understood the last part. ] would you rather go home or stay here then?

Ideally, we'd find a way to bring our Pokémon with us, and to communicate between worlds. Perhaps there are lands with those powers; if their inhabitants arrive here someday...

[ She turns her head to look at the 'Gear again. ] Yeah... I guess you're right. They'll always, always, always be in my heart. And maybe they'll show up here soon. That would be nice.

Nn. [ She nods. ] Then maybe we'll be able to have both. [ Now she smiles a little. ] That would be really cool. I could ride Toto to school!

[Aw, have a smile.]

It's not impossible. And they wouldn't be happy knowing they were the cause of your sadness. So keep your hopes high!

Try not to think about it too hard, you'll get a headache.
