8th Card [Video/Action for Otherhouse]

[ The feed turns on to... darkness? All that's visible is, occasionally, the blur of something orange or brown. When she speaks, Sakura's voice is slightly muffled, but still audible. ]

Do you- [ She breaks off. There's a low whining sound, like that of a dog, from somewhere close by. ] Do you guys have somebody that you love more than anybody else? Like, a person you love the most? Who's your number one person?

[ The feed movies, and Sakura's voice becomes a little bit more muffled. ]

And, if you do, are they here with you? Or are they at home? Do you miss them? [ She goes quiet for several long moments. Then, without warning, the feed goes off.

To those at the Otherhouse who would like to find Sakura, she's out near the garden, sitting hidden and squished between a very large Ursaring and a very large Arcanine. ]

Maaaaybe. I'd have to meet your brother to know for sure, though.

[ They're not in the house for long, just out the front door again and onto the street, where Miyuki shoves her hands into her coat pockets. ]

Does your brother ever take you out for ice cream and stuff like that?

[ Now that she's not surrounded by huge Pokemon, it seems much colder outside. She wraps her jacket tighter around her. ]

Hm... not often. But sometimes, when me and Yukito-san or Tomoyo go out for ice cream, he end up being there.

My brother used to take me out sometimes back home, but since he got here, I mostly treat him. It's okay; he doesn't have much money.

Back at home, my brother works like, everywhere. But he's saving up for college, I think. So he doesn't use the money as spending money.

How old is he? [ Miyuki had been imagining that their brothers were close in age, but if he's saving up for college already.... ]

Seventeen. But sometimes he doesn't act like it.

Mine's fifteen, but sometimes he acts like he's ten and sometimes he acts like he's forty. [ Laughing a little. ] Brothers are so weird.

[ Giggling. ] I wonder if Nii-san came here, if he'd be friends with your brother.

Hehehe, maybe... but your brother works really hard, maybe he'd think mine was a slacker! [ He wouldn't be the first, either. ]

Maybe! But maybe they'd rub off on each other. And besides, my brother and his best friend are like, complete opposites. So maybe they'd still get along!

We'd have to be really lucky for your hard-working brother to rub off on him! But maybe, if your brother comes here someday, he will!

Yeah! [ She giggles. ] It'd be great if our brothers became friends. Then we could all go out for ice cream together and stuff!

And your brother could pay for all of us. [ She grins. ]

Yeah! [ She slips her hands into her pockets. ] Oh, and thank you for taking me out for ice cream.

[ Miyuki shrugs and nods, looking up at the sky. She's not really sure what to say on the subject of Sakura's earlier upset, so she'd rather avoid it altogether. Still, it's kind of come up.... ]

Yeah, well... you seemed upset. I always like ice cream when I'm upset.

[notakaijuu]

I was. But I'm feeling a lot better now. [ A giggle. ] And ice cream really helps.

Yeah. [ Miyuki smiles over at her, relieved that she didn't manage to set herself up for some kind of weepy, girly heart-to-heart.

Then, mock-casually: ]

I'd race you to the ice cream parlor, but you'd probably fall and hurt yourself.

[ A couple blinks, then this look. ]

Hey! I won't! I can race you just fine!

action;

[comeatmibro]

Oh, yeah? Last one there is a Diglett butt!

[ And she takes off running.

Does Miyuki know what a Diglett butt looks like? No. No, she does not. But presumably, it's not pretty. ]

Hey! [ Diglett butt. She's not gonna be a Diglett butt. Grumble grumble.

She takes off after Miyuki, and at first, she doesn't suck. She's even catching up to her! ]

[ A quick glance over her shoulder tells her she needs to speed up. Sakura's pretty fast for a girly-girl, even without her roller blades. Miyuki picks up the pace, jumping haphazardly over sewer grates and curb edges. ]
